I’ve led complex projects that cross the usual boundaries: construction and social housing, cultural infrastructure, government strategy, philanthropy, and community-led initiatives. My value is in connecting the dots — translating between builders, bureaucrats, boards, and communities to get projects funded, approved and moving.

Government and public sector

I understand how government funding flows — from new policy proposals to capital planning and budget cycles. I’ve worked across federal, state and local agencies to shape cases for investment, align with Treasury and ministerial priorities, and help teams meet capital spend targets.

Culture, arts and philanthropy

I know how to position creative and cultural initiatives for funding — from capital campaigns to philanthropy-backed infrastructure. I’ve helped cultural organisations align their offering to government and private funders, quantify their impact, and develop business cases that secure investment.
Examples: Australian Museum (capital planning and fundraising strategy), Iceni Group (rebranding and funding narrative).

Construction and infrastructure

I work with builders, project managers, and housing providers to land contracts, unlock funding, and set up delivery systems that inspire confidence. I’m fluent in procurement pathways, risk frameworks, Safety in Design processes, and the approvals needed to move a project from planning to site.

Complex systems and partnerships

My sweet spot is in projects that don’t fit neatly into one department or business unit. I bring governance, alignment and clarity to cross-sector collaborations — whether that’s a multi-agency program, a blended funding model, or a public-private partnership.
Examples: Disaster recovery initiatives, cross-council housing and community infrastructure programs.

Community and place-based work

I’ve delivered programs that require deep engagement with community stakeholders, including First Nations partners. I specialise in building trust in high-risk, politically sensitive or trauma-aware contexts — and in demonstrating public value through social impact assessment and storytelling.

Portfolio

  • Capital planner at a major cultural institution

    Led the capital planning function to recover a stalled program and meet full-year investment targets. Introduced a needs-based portfolio model, replaced arbitrary allocations, implemented a new project lifecycle, and reset governance and internal funding processes. Within 6 months delivered $17 million in capital works aligned to institutional priorities.

  • Mobilisation of $150m reconstruction program

    Mobilised a $150 million regional reconstruction program spanning flood infrastructure, community awareness, and nature-based solutions. Led stakeholder engagement to secure social license, including Aboriginal engagement. Established delivery governance across three tiers of government, sequenced funding tranches, and brokered delivery agreements across seven councils to enable 36 projects to break ground within eight months.

  • Functional reset at major transport agency

    Reset the customer strategy and technology function to restore its role and license. Led over 200 interviews and multiple workshops to clarify purpose, redefine value, and reconnect the division to delivery. Mapped functional activity across teams, rebuilt its project lifecycle, and aligned it to internal and INSW assurance processes. Repositioned the group through updated policy and executive submissions.

  • Integrated planning and advisory for construction project manager

    Provide strategic writing and planning support across the infrastructure and community portfolio. Lead development of project plans, governance frameworks, status reporting, council-facing strategies and social impact assessments. Act as a core delivery function to shape, articulate and advance the firm’s work with government, councils and community housing providers.
